Yaël Braun Pivet à l’INSEP
Published on
For her first visit to the INSEP, the President of the French National Assembly was given the opportunity to discover the facilities, know-how and expertise of the INSEP, which serves federations and elite athletes to enable them to perform at the world's most prestigious events.
Visiting several "pôles France", she took the time to speak with gymnasts, fencers, swimmers, pentathletes, [...] already present and over-motivated in training, their eyes riveted on the Paris deadline. It's an opportunity to talk to them about their training programs, the balance between their sporting, school and personal lives, their double project, the next selection stages…
Yaël Braun-Pivet then answered the call of the foil herself, donning mask, glove and cuirass for a private lesson with Emeric Clos, national coach of the Pôle France fencing team. A very gifted and intuitive student, according to the teacher's initial feedback!
After the effort, it was time for Yaël Braun-Pivet to recuperate, rather than relax. After a guided tour of the INSEP medical center, she was able to try out the full-body cryotherapy area and its invigorating 110°c temperature!
She then had the chance to experience the full INSEP experience by having lunch with elite athletes in the cafeteria, where she was able to talk to them about their daily lives as athletes and citizens.
