Launch of the 2025-2028 labeling campaign for the grand INSEP network

While the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games ended a few weeks ago now, a new Olympiad has begun, and eyes are already turning to Milano-Cortina 2026, Los Angeles 2028, the French Alps 2030 and Brisbane 2032.

Today, the grand INSEP network has fully entered a more operational phase, following on from the organizational and structural set-up of the early days. The evolution of the grand INSEP label reflects these transformations.

  • For the 2016-2021 label, the focus was on the infrastructure required to host elite athletes.
  • For 2021-2024, the Grand INSEP label focused on the skills and human resources required to support performance. The four pillars « Optimal training », « Well educated », « Healthy lifestyle » et « Optimize health » provided a solid foundation for all the actions and discussions undertaken within the network during the 2021-2024 Olympiad.
  • For the next label, 2025-2028, in addition to past criteria, emphasis will be placed on the collaborative work of local players in the service of performance and elite athletes and their coaches. The label will be built around four pillars: “Welcoming well”, “Provinding the appropriate support”, “Involving and developing the local ecosystem” and “Committing to a national dynamic”. This new label, aimed exclusively at structures that implement public service policies for elite sport, will seek to meet the following objective: “to be a reference center, close to and at the service of elite athletes and their coaches”..

The first and primary challenge is to optimize the links between the various players and networks (national, regional and federal) in order to guarantee the efficient organization of elite sport at both national and local levels. In this context, the centers of the grand INSEP network intend to play a leading role in their local area, and to strengthen collaborative work and partnerships with local players in the interests of athletes' performance. The emphasis today is on the centers' ability to work collaboratively with local players to enhance performance.

The grand INSEP label, gateway to the grand INSEP network, is a promise of support for French teams through the infrastructures and services available to elite athletes throughout the region. As for each new Olympiad, a project group specializing in issues relating to elite sports and performance has been working on a new set of requirements for the grand INSEP label. A new draft of the requirements and guidelines for the 2025-2028 version of this label has therefore been drawn up, and outlines the main guidelines for the network's centers to follow, in order to be part of the grand INSEP network's dynamic for this new labeling campaign.
